Active Server Pages and IDC

ASP-enhanced sites are enabled on our server and can be used to create complex, consumer oriented objects such as shopping carts and product catalogs.  Databases such as MS Access or SQL Server can be easily accessed from ASP pages or the Internet Database Connector (.IDC/.HTX).

24 Hour Server Monitoring

Our servers are constantly monitored by special monitoring software.  In the event of a failure the appropriate action is taken, whether it be a service that needs to be restarted a server reboot or notification of the failure to one of our technicians.

Fault Tolerance

We use a redundant hardware system consisting of multiple disk controllers and hard drives in our servers.  The SCSI hard drives are 7200 RPM+ Ultra Wide SCSI with Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology (S.M.A.R.T.). S.M.A.R.T. technology monitors certain characteristics of drive performance and timing. These measurements are used as an early prediction of drive failure. The drives are configured in a RAID 1 configuration (disk mirroring) that is more expensive to implement than RAID 5, but offers much more performance and reliability.

Daily Tape Backup

Our servers are backed up daily on high-capacity data tapes that retain a full image of our server drives in the unlikely case of a drive problem.  Restoring old data is also available for a small fee.

UPS Backup

In the event of a power loss or fluctuations , our equipment continues to run from an Uninterruptable Power Supply.  

Microsoft FrontPage98 Extensions

Due to its ease of use, powerful management and editing features, FrontPage98 has become a standard for Internet development. Our clients can ask for extensions to be installed on their site free of charge so that they may be able to take advantage of all the great benefits. RealAudio and RealVideo

RealAudio and RealVideo allow browsers to listen or view multimedia files as they are downloading, rather than having to wait for the entire document to download before opening it. In this manner, large multimedia files can be viewed efficiently.

MacroMedia Shockwave

Using MacroMedia Director 6.x or Flash, web designers can create web-based vector animations that add extreme interactivity to their sites and make what would otherwise be a static site appear smooth, lively, and energetic. The plug-in called the Shockwave Flash Player is what allows a browser to view these animations. Both the plug-in and the animations are extremely compact, so there's a minimum of loading time.

MIDI Music Support

MIDI is the basis for most electronic music today and is a format readable by most modern synthesizers and computer soundcards. MIDI files do not contain the actual music of a song, just information telling your computer's soundcard what notes to play. Unlike a massive .wav file that eats up a staggering 10mb per minute of audio, depending on the complexity of the arrangement a 5 minute MIDI song can be as small as 20k, meaning it downloads almost instantly.

The service is designed to work in foreign countries with their own languages, currencies and banking systems.

We provide support for the CyberCash CashRegister 3. You will need to download the Merchant Connector Kit and open a merchant account at the CyberCash web site. http://www.cybercash.com.

Index Server is a powerful search engine for Internet Information Server. Many clients find this feature very useful for sites containing lots of information.

MS Transaction Server

Microsoft Transaction Server combines the flexibility and low-costs of desktop applications with the mission critical transaction processing features normally found in high-end mainframe systems. Microsoft Transaction Server is a component-based transaction processing system for developing, deploying, and managing high performance, scalable, and robust enterprise, Internet and intranet server applications. Transaction Server defines an application programming model for developing distributed, component-based applications. It also provides a run-time infrastructure for deploying and managing these applications.

Mail List Server

We create a mailing list for you on our mail server. Mailing lists take an incoming mail message and broadcast it to every member of the list. Each list can contain a large number of members. You can control membership of the list by using simple email commands.

POP3 and IMAP4 Accounts

Every site is equipped with multiple POP3 / IMAP4 email accounts that can be configured from your browser on your personal computer. This gives you total control of all the e-mail sent to your web site.

IMAP4 is a new mailbox technology designed so that multiple users can access a single mailbox in an organized manner. It keeps track of messages which have been unread, deleted, etc. This is very useful when you need to know what messages have been attended to or not. Many companies, including TeraZone, use this feature for large support mailboxes which more than one employee will be handling.

Unlimited E-mail Aliasing

Your default e-mail account can have an unlimited amount of e-mail addresses delivering to it, so that, in example, "anyname @ yourdomain.com" are aliases that deliver to a single POP3/IMAP4 email box which can be accessed with a single username and password.

Access to Raw Log Files

With raw log files, you can use 3rd party log analysis software to create you own  specific reports. You must download the logs to your computer before you can use them.

Domain Registration or Transfer

The InterNic process of establishing your site's new domain (yourdomain.com) or transferring it from a previous host to our own servers. For new domain name registrations, InterNIC will charge a registration fee of $70, which covers 2 years. After the 2nd year they will charge you $35 per year. You will be billed directly from them.

Additional Domain Names

You have the ability to point additional domain names to your web site's home page or to a specific sub-directory in your web site. This is also known as a Developer's Web. You will have the ability to resell your space with virtual domain names. All mail can be routed to original account's default mailbox or forwarded to a specific email address.

Data Transfer (MB per month)

Everytime someone visits your web site, they download a certain amount of data. The total amount of data downloaded at the end of the month by all of your visitors is your amount of  Data Transfer. Additional data transfer is available for an extra fee.

Disk Storage (MB)

The amount of actual disk space your site occupies on the web server.   This space is used to hold your html documents, asp files, images files, database footprint, etc.  Additional disk storage is available for an extra fee.
